Building maintenance

Building Engineer is responsible for performance of assigned maintenance and repair tasks with special emphasis on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other technical systems. Thorough knowledge of all building systems and components, the Engineer 2 will perform preventative maintenance tasks, inspections and quality control of business partner provided services. The Engineer 2 will also identify and report any safety hazards, facilitate and/or execute employee moves in a manner that least disrupts the employee and co-workers. The Engineer 2 will perform routine inspections of all major building elements and systems and provide detailed reports of any discrepancies or recommendations to improve the overall operations of the facility.
salary: $22 - $25 per hour

Responsibilities
- Performs as part of a team while observing Darden's values and the Campus Services mission, vision, customer service and quality commitment
- Has a personal commitment to maintaining the reliable operation of the HVAC, electrical, elevator, fire detection/alarm, fire sprinkler system and kitchen equipment
- They will maintain and troubleshoot with specialized vendors mission-critical data center facility equipment including, but not limited to CRAC units, UPS units, generator, air-cooled chiller, equipment under sub-floor, etc.
- Performs preventative maintenance, provides predictive reports and assessments, and assures immediate response to any conditions that may affect the service of those systems to the building occupants
- Assists in planning and ensures the safe execution of projects including interior renovations, systems furniture reconfigurations and kitchen renovations
- Assists in maintaining records for all building modifications
- Performs tasks necessary to ensure that compliance of all regulatory laws and guidelines are met
- Performs work orders and understands when approvals are necessary to ensure equity, consistence and quality of workmanship
- Identifies safety hazards within the building and incorporates the remediation of such hazards to ensure that the building's staff and occupants work in a safe environment
