The franchisee holds a license to use McDonald's logos and food products in the restaurant, but operates as a separate company and employer. If you are hired for the position, the franchisee will be your employer, not McDonald's USA. The franchisee alone is responsible for all employment matters at the restaurant, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. McDonald's USA has no involvement in employment decisions at the restaurant and will not receive your employment application or be involved in any part of the hiring process, including interviews or hiring decisions.
