What you will be doig
As part of our drivig team i Boise, ID ., drivers must have a valid Class A CDL. Our drivers are resposible for ispectig, fuelig ad drivig our tractor trailers o the delivery routes. Our drivers must have a strog commitmet to DOT compliace, safety ad accidet-free miles while providig top otch service to our stores.
Our delivery routes cosist of local ad regioal routes, where our drivers are mostly home daily. We do have some overight routes i selective parts of the coutry. We provide our drivers with state-of-the-art equipmet with a average of aroud 3 years old for our tractors. We have a strog prevetative maiteace program that helps reduce breakdows ad uwated dowtime o the road. Deliverig to our stores our drivers are limited to maily uloadig pallets with electric pallet jacks, with some exceptios. Our drivers are paid weekly, have excellet beefits alog with great recogitio program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Report to work at scheduled start time.

• Receive route paperwork, truck ad trailer assigmet ad istructios for route.

• Review Driver Vehicle Ispectio Report (DVIR) ad ackowledge prior report for each piece of equipmet. Provide writte report for post trip ispectio for all uits. Documet ad report ay defects or cocers with tractor ad/or trailer withi the (DVIR).

• Coduct pre-trip, iter trip, ad post trip ispectio for all uits operated i accordace with FMCSA regulatio 49 C.F.R. § 396.11.

• Verify load ad load destiatio ad proper load securemet.

• Couple the tractor ad trailer, ispect the fifth wheel plate, release hadle ad lockig jaws.

• Scale load by gross weight ad/or axles/tadems accordig to trailer type ad state regulatios. If eeded, adjust the load to redistribute weight.

• Follow route pla ad meet all delivery / pick up requiremets for each store.

• Complete store clea outs as cotracted. Receive ad load items (e.g., salvage, assets, returs, composts, bails, egg trays) for retur to distributio ceter as eeded.

• Commuicate ay issue that will affect the route pla.

• Esure all cargo is secured throughout the delivery route.

• Complete ad verify all required paperwork ad temperature requiremets.

• Accurately report hours of service i accordace with DOT ad FMCSA regulatios 49 C.F.R. § 395.8 ad 49 C.F.R. § 395.11 usig a electroic loggig device (ELD). Review log ad the certify log at the ed of each day.

• Perform ad documet post-trip ispectio o truck/tractor at the ed of the shift i accordace with DOT ad FMCSA regulatio 49 C.F.R. § 396.11 ad state-specific guidace.

• Documet ad report ay defects or cocers with truck/tractor ad/or trailer withi the Driver Vehicle Ispectio Report (DVIR).

How you will be paid

• $30.00 a hour

• Mileage-pay 0.67 for sigle trailer

• Mileage-pay 0.77 for double trailers

• Sleep i your ow bed daily - mostly local hauls

• Liehaul 5-day schedule home after each shift available

• Edorsemets: Must have Double/Triple Trailer Edorsemet.

• Customer Service: Kowledge of priciples ad processes for providig customer ad persoal services. This icludes customer eeds assessmet, meetig quality stadards for services, ad evaluatio of customer satisfactio.

• Witer Drivig: Ability to put o sow chais ad drive i sowy or slippery coditios as eeded.

• Fluid levels ad Fuelig : Must have geeral kowledge of proper procedures of checkig fluids / fuel ad repleishmet process.

• FMCSA Regulatios : Kowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Admiistratio (FMCSA) requiremets ad regulatios, icludig hours of service.

• Safe Operatio of Commercial Vehicle: To always operate the vehicle safely i a professioal maer. Followig all traffic laws ad always represetig the compay i a positive maer.

• Defesive Drivig: Attedig all required safety traiig ad have kowledge of defesive drivig techiques that aticipate dagerous situatios, despite adverse coditios or the mistakes of others whe operatig a motor vehicle. This icludes maagig space aroud vehicles, maagig speed of travel, maitaiig awareess of other drivers, checkig, ad usig mirrors, ad usig idicators such as sigalig.

• Problem Solvig: Ability to defie a problem; determie the cause of the problem; idetify, prioritize, ad select alteratives for a solutio; ad implemet a solutio.

• Load Securig: Kowledge of load-securig methods.

• Route plaig: Makig yourself familiar with each locatio ad areas i which stores are located, icludig beig aware of surroudigs o the way to ad while at stores.

PHYSICAL ENVIRNOMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demads

• Remai i a seated positio for prologed periods of time.

• Operate motorized vehicles such as tractor trailers.

• Climb ramps ad/or stairs to eter/exit tractor ad/or trailer.

• Ability to lift betwee 1-50 pouds.

• Ability to push/pull 100 pouds.

• Ability to lift 100 pouds o occasio.

• Ability to egage i crawlig, crouchig, keelig, or stoopig as required.

• Reach overhead ad ustack pallets up to 6 feet high.

• Work varyig hours of the day as required.

• Work i eviromets requirig persoal protective equipmet (PPE) icludig but ot limited to steel toe boots close-toed slip resistat shoes.

• Work i areas with potetial exposure to cotamiats or hazardous chemicals (such as pollutats, gases, dust, or odors).

• Work i areas requirig exposure to varyig temperatures, extreme heat or cold, ad/or wet, damp, or drafty coditios.

• Work i areas that are i close proximity to movig materials, mechaical parts, settigs, or ay movig objects (most commoly movig machiery or equipmet) that could cause bodily harm.

• Work i areas with exposure to a shakig object or surface that causes a strai o the body or extremities.
