Quality assurance technician

We are seeking an experienced candidate for a Quality Control Inspector role at a leading metal distributor in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of QC methods, be able to read blueprints, and quickly analyze potential failures to determine solutions in real-time. Experience with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) is required. Knowledge of ISO9001 or AS9100 is highly considered. The role demands attention to detail and takes place in a fast-paced metal shop work environment.
salary: $24.99 - $25 per hour

work hours: 5 AM - 1:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to analyze potential failures and determine potential solutions in real time.
• Provide feedback to extrusion press operators on any out-of-specification material being processed.
• Provide feedback to the Production and QA Manager on any visual and or dimensional issues
• Complete First Article Inspection reports on all extruded orders for the day
• Submit details reports to Die Correction department on any non-conforming product for the day

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs
