Qualifications:

• bilingual in Spanish and English (strongly preferred)
• Knowledge of HACCP plans
• Food/meat industry background and familiarity with quality control in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in a GMP/SOP-regulated environment
• strong documentation skills, including report preparation and record-keeping
• Attention to detail and ability to monitor the in-process cutting of raw meats
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and quality standards

Pay & Shift:

• Pay: $23-38 per hour (depending on experience)
• Shift: 3:30 AM to 12:00 PM
• Location: Hauppauge, NY

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure the quality of raw meats during processing, including checking in-process cutting of raw meats and verifying sample sizes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of inspections, procedures, and compliance with quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in all phases of production.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of HACCP plans to ensure food safety.
• Conduct routine tests to ensure product quality and safety, including sample analysis.
• Provide training to staff on quality procedures and GMP/SOP guidelines to ensure consistency across the department.
• Identify and address any quality issues or deviations from standards and work with the team to resolve them.
